Revs Advance to USOC Semis with PK Win Over Philly

After a lackluster goalless draw in Utah over the weekend, the Revs showed they mean business in the Open Cup this year with a PK win over the Union. It wasn't exactly ideal considering they allowed the tying goal at the death, but I'm considering this one a "resiliency win".

-Lineup Notes: Brad in goal, interestingly no Herivaux, and Kamara replacing Femi up top close to game time.

-I'd be remiss if I didn't give credit when deserved. Philly keeper Andre Blake played out of his mind tonight. A few save highlights for your pleasure:

That double save in Extra Time, incredible.

-Revs did break one by him though:

Watson with his first as a Rev. Sneaky play from Heaps' men. Honestly didn't know Watson could shoot either, I thought he just passed and crossed.

-Philly at the buzzer...
Another case of "credit where credit is due". The control, the turn, the pass and the finish. All fantastic. You get one and one only Philly.

-To PKs we go...

Don't let Je-Vaughn get hot! All he does is score! Knighton made two saves in the shootout as well.

-A few more highlights:

When your girl comes to your game and you try extra hard cause you promised a goal for her.

If Tom Brady had made that challenge he would have gotten a 6-game suspension.

Kei, we get it, you work out and have world class physical conditioning, please stop showing off. Would have been quite the goal though.

I need this to be the new Stone Cold reaction gif.

Man Of The Match

Next game is Saturday at home against Chicago with a 730 PM kickoff. Revs also play the Fire in the semis of the USOC. Coming for that ass Chicago.
